Age Group Coach - Caleb Hamilton
I began swimming at the age of 6 and loved being in the water as much as possible. I swam and played water polo until age 19 at Exeter High School and completed two years at COS. During my time at COS, we won a conference championship and I had multiple individual top-10 finishes.

I began my coaching journey in 2019 as a summer rec coach and soon after  that, I was hired as the head coach for CVC and also the assistant water polo coach for El Diamante. While at CVC I took a group of 7 swimmers to the Valley championships. While at El Diamante we won the 2019 Valley Championship. In January of 2022, I began assistant coaching at COS, since then we have had 3 men's and Women's Conference championships and many top state qualifiers, including 2 individual state championships. In 2023 I was also awarded women's coach of the year.

I am excited for more seasons at COS and to kickstart the SOVA Swim Club. I have a passion for watching athletes do what they love to do and get better every day.
Age Group Coach - Josh Peters

Josh began swimming competitively at age 8 with the Visalia Waves. He immediately found a love for the sport, the first one he was any good at. He stopped swimming for a time in middle school and returned to the pool at Redwood High School, where he got rookie of the year, being the only freshman boy to qualify for the Valley championship. He continued to swim at Redwood and started taking it more seriously his senior year, only to have it cut short. He then went to COS, where in 2023 he became the CCCAA State 100 freestyle champion, and 50 and 200 freestyle runner-up. He is the 3-time COS MVP and holds 11 school records at COS, 7 individual records, as well as 4 with his fantastic teammates. He plans to continue his swimming career as long as possible.

Josh started coaching with private swim lessons, which he has done for 4 years now. Team coaching came in the summer of 2022 when he was hired as the head coach of the Visalia Waves, his first swim team. This will be his 3rd year being the head coach of the Waves, and he adores the job of working with the kids and seeing improvement. He has also done lifeguarding and swim lessons with the City of Visalia for a summer.

Coaching at SOVA, Josh hopes to share the love that he has for the great sport of swimming with the kids as well as the parents, and he will work patiently to see each swimmer improve, no matter what level they start at.

Age Group Coach - Sofia Mora

Hi, my name is Sofia. I have been swimming since I was 3 years old. I swam with the El Paso Aqua Pose in Texas and I swam in Visalia with TNT. Then I started swimming for Redwood High School, where I was part of the 14-year WYL Winning streak. I got many medals from WYL and I was the only freshman to qualify for Valley!
After high school, I went and swam at COS where I won 7 out of 8 medals in my events the first year at the conference and the second year I also won 7 out of 8 medals and I qualified for state! I was part of the 4 relays at COS that broke the 4 relay records (200 and 400 free relay, and 200 and 400 Medley relay) and made it to state where we were top 8. I also broke 3 COS records (50,100,200 back).
During my time at COS, I coached both the girls' and boys' Mt. Whitney varsity teams and have also helped coach Sova water polo.
